Our little girls arrived via the US Postal Service August of last year.
They grow up so fast!
Finding a home for our girls was very important before we set out on our travels. Fortunately, J's sister and family are going to host the girls as exchange chickens while we are gone.
I'm going to miss this broody little girl so much!
We rented a moving truck and loaded their coop and all their supplies (chickens have a lot of baggage). Then, we packed each girl in her own cardboard box for safe travels.
The girls were very calm during the ride in the noisy moving truck.
They were very happy to get back home in their coop with their host family. We know that our niece will take very good care of our girls while we are away.
