When we arrived, our B&B was closed for lunch-so we had lunch ourselves and then hung out on the beach front until the front desk opened again.
What a cute little tiny Coke!
A street in Salerno
Our first full day, we moseyed down to the ferry terminal and bought our tickets for a day trip to Capri.
The scenery on the way to Capri was gorgeous.
Quacker Jack enjoyed the ferry ride.
We arrived in Capri (pronounced with the emphasis on the CA, not the pri) a couple hours later. From the ferry port, J bought tickets to ride the funicular and then the bus after that.
Fun squished in on the funicular
The roads in Capri are narrow to say the least. Note how close the taxi is to our standing-room-only bus. This is not a one way street.
Then, another tourist bus passed us.
It was a wild ride.
We finally arrived at the beach.
Sneaky stairs down to the beach club
We got chairs on the balcony of the beach club-there was more shade and we know how well we do in the searing sun.
Quacker Jack on the beach in Capri
We tried to get our surroundings in these - the beach and the mountains.
J took a dip in the sea. I put my feet in and that was enough for me. The water wasn't freezing, but chilly.
This was our beach club for the day.
One last shot of the beach club before we headed back to the ferry port
We had some time to take photos at the top of the cliff before heading back down on the funicular.
Once we reached the ferry port, we strolled around the very busy streets taking in the sights of Capri.
After seeing the roads and how folks drive, we had to wonder why would anyone want to rent a scooter in this town?!
Waiting for our ferry
This sign is on the pier leading to the ferries. J thought it was funny.
Goodbye, Capri!
Some scenery photos J took on our ferry ride back to Salerno:
We arrived home around sunset. Not a bad day.
WOW!!! SO, this is where Only You with Marissa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr was set, I THINK. I think I remember them going to Positono ! GORGEOUS pics! How are you going to choose what to hang and frame once you get home?!?!

I LOVED that movie! Had no clue where it was filmed. J has become quite the travel photographer, hasn't he?
