Sahagún to Bernacios del real Camino

Wildlife seen several little mice ran across the path as I walked today.  Quick little critters, but cute.

Interesting pilgrims We struck up a conversation with a fellow we had seen *running* the last couple days.  He and his bff had been planning to run the Camino for a while now.  Unfortunately, his friend couldn't make the trip after all, but this guy proceeded to follow their prescription for the trip - run the entire way, wear a mustache and a mullet for the duration, and carry a pack that weighs 3 kg or less.  He is meeting his dad in Léon to finish the trip together.  Not sure if his dad will comply with the requirements set out in the original plan.  Because it was such a small town, we ran into him again in the evening and had supper with him too.  Quite an enjoyable character get to know.

This town is an official stop on the Camino, but it is a quiet little town.  But first, a couple photos from the morning as we left Sahagún.

We stayed at a pension above a restaurant - again with our own room and own bathroom!  Someone call the glamour police, we are feeling way too pampered to be pilgrims.
