O Cebreiro to Fonfría

Miles walked 7.65
Steps taken 23,924
Wildlife spotted chickens, monstrous black slugs, three cows being herded by their farmer and his herding dog at the farm that's next door to our hostel.
The walk O Cebreiro is almost a mile up, so the weather was cloudy and cool (41 degrees) when we set out.  The clouds burned off and eventually we saw the sun.  Very steep climb again today.  I was not prepared for that!  Again, slow and steady.  We had reservations for a bed at a hostel, so no need to rush.  Our hostel is adorable, with our pilgrims meal being served in a round house like we saw yesterday.  And, good news for the sleeping situation.  We grabbed a bed by the window.  No 81 degrees sleeping for me tonight.  And if some lame pilgrim shuts that window (as many have on other nights), you bet your boots I'll be climbing down from in high to re-open it.
The picnic area at our hostel.  What a view!
Local cheese with chestnuts - remember the three cows I saw being herded?   It's from that farm right next door.  Topped with honey from Samos, a town we will walk to in a couple days, about 20km away.
390 miles walked.  92.8 til Santiago de Compostela.
