The scenery was beautiful as we climbed and climbed.
We knew we were getting close when we entered this tunnel through the mountain.
We arrived and it was noticeably colder when we stepped out of the train.
J at the Top of Germany.
And Quacker Jack, too
J couldn't help but try out the free sleds.
According to the map behind J, Munich is over the mountains behind my left shoulder.
We road the cable car down the mountain.
An action shot as we zipped down the mountain
That's where we were!
More farm land as we road the train back to town
Sunset in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
We left G-P and headed to the tiny country of Liechtenstein. On our way, we stopped by Fuessen, Germany, where there are two castles quite close to each other. Can you tell which one helped to inspire Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World? Neuschwanstein Castle, in the background of this picture with Quacker Jack.
We did not tour the inside of either castle, but enjoyed a walk around the first castle built in Fuessen instead.
The weather held out for us, and it only started to rain as we were walking to our car.
Before we reached our car, I had to stop for a picture with this human sized hotdog. "If you were a hotdog, would you eat yourself?!"
I know that Bear would eat himself-- at least that's what the told his boss that time!
