Liechtenstein

The gloomy weather we had in Fuessen followed us to Liechtenstein.  It was a foggy, steep climb to our hotel.  Fortunately, we made it in time to have supper at our place - there was no way we were going to try to drive back into town that night!

The next morning, the weather was gorgeous and we could truly appreciate our surroundings.  We realized we climbed so high up the mountain last night, we were staying really at the end of the road - it dead ends into the mountain just past our hotel.

These photos are from our climb back down in the morning:

Across the river - that's Switzerland!

Quacker Jack in Liechtenstein with Switzerland in the background too.

The view of the Swiss Alps from Liechtenstein:

We drove to a castle in Liechtenstein, but it wasn't open for visitors.  We enjoyed the views from the castle hill.

These sheep were grazing in the vineyard that surrounded the castle.  So cute!
Here's a couple more selfies - we just can't resist.

Liechtenstein was a fun little stop off between Germany and Switzerland for us.  When we arrived in our next stop, Ringgenberg, Switzerland our host teased us that we had visited "Eastern Switzerland" when we stopped in Liechtenstein.  Look out Switzerland, here we come!
