Salzburg, Austria

We explored the city of Salzburg and found these interesting sites:

On a corner of a building in the old town
An Olde Timey photo shop, just like in Gatlinburg, TN!
Just a neat street in the evening before supper one night
A pretty church at the end of a street
The river at night
The statue of Mozart
This church, just behind the horse fountain (from the Sound of Music bike tour) has a very interesting history.

The view of the city from a nearby hill.  That's the Salzburg Cathedral in the center.  The larger dome toward the back was bombed during World War II.

This delicious restaurant, The Laughing Monkey, was so much fun!
Our waiter told us when we arrived he might add a couple to our table if it became crowded, but promised to only seat nice people with us.

He couldn't have paired us with a nicer couple, Yvonne and Marcus, from Germany.

A very Italian looking foot path
We returned to Mirabel Gardens.

More Sound of Music scenery (the fountain during Do-Re-Mi in Mirabel Gardens)

Salzburg is a lovely city with beautiful scenery all around.  Based on a recommendation from our new friends Yvonne and Marcus, we headed to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany after our stay in Salzburg.

  1. I love your fountain picture! I'm nearby requesting a copy of it.
